I have a pay as you go pre 2017.  I am going to travel in austria and france but am not starting out from the UK.  Can I use my allowances to roam and on the internet if I am not starting out in the UK

SIM was used in UK in May and from abroad recently.  That means if I add a pack with 10gb I can use it freely in the EU for things like google maps etc.  I dont need to buy add on do I unless i want to exceed the GB allowance?

Thanks for your responses

Hi @lio2021

Thanks for coming here 🙂

As long as the SIM card has been activated in the UK on the EE network by making a call or sending a text before travelling this would work for you.

You can use your allowance including up to 25GB of data in the EU.

Doesn't matter where you are starting out from now as long as at some time that PAYG SIM was used in the UK to make a call or send a text.

When did you last use it for a chargeable action?

You can't exceed the 25 GB data FUP even with add-ons.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & it is now sorted.
