So Ive been in Malta for 3 days and my phone/texts/data was working fine for the first 2 days.
It’s day 3 and was supposed to be going for a day trip but couldn’t access my online banking or my emails to get my tickets. I rang 150 to speak to someone but it’s all automated now and they said we’ll send you a text and follow the link. I can’t open the link because my data is t working!!
I went to a cafe and got on the Wi-Fi and followed an all kinds of guides but still no joy. Why is there nobody (A human) I can speak to on the phone to help!! It’s pathetic!
MYEE says I have £2 a day set up to use my phone and I apparently already have a data pass setup too… my data roaming is set to on, my network is set to automatic, I’ve turned my phone on and off god knows how many times, I changed my spend cap from £0 to £40….. I’m so annoyed but am hung out to dry because there is nobody to physically talk to. Day trip is ruined now as it’s to late and by the time I got back from the internet cafe they had already left 🤬
Im logging all the time I’ve not been able to use my phone here. If EE thinks im paying £2 a day to not have access to calls, texts or data then you’re gonna get told where to go!

@Dannyman88 when you call customer services, just select option 2 not option 1 as it does says that’s an automated service. But more importantly if this was working there is no reason why it’s not working now unless there is network issue there. Not sure what you think EE can do as it was working and nothing has been changed on EEs end.
Have you tried to do a manual network search ? Have you tried restarting the device?
And that £2 per day is only when you use the device calls/texts/data.

If your roaming facility worked initially, then EE's activation is complete and you are reliant on local network service in your host country. If a local network has issues, EE has no direct control over them - hence why manually selecting an alternative network is standard advice.
Increases to a spend-cap are not effective until the bill refresh date.
