Unable to receive some messages or get messages late

I am able to send messages to people and the person receiving my messages gets them on time however when they send a message to me I don't get it or I get it a few hours late. Why is this?

Is there any pattern to the delayed receipt? Messages from a particular network, for example?

If you send a text to yourself, do you receive it within 30 seconds or so?

No pattern it ranges from seconds to hours and it's getting to days now

No. Sometimes I get it hours later. It's getting to the point where it's almost been a day

Hi @Elliot39,

Welcome to the EE Community

Sometimes a delayed messages issue can be resolved by resetting your connection to the EE network. To do that you first would do a manual network search, then tap to join a network other than EE. Then once disconnected from EE leave it a few minutes on the other network before searching again and joining back to EE. 

Afterwards you can set network selection back to automatic. Worth giving it a try and then testing a text. If you are unsure how to do the network search if you let me know the model of phone you have I can let you know.

It was working when the weekend and bank holiday for a bit then completely stoped again. I then did what you suggested and I think i did it correctly but it didn't work. Any other suggestions?

If the texts are still arriving late or not coming through, please get in touch with us on 150 and the team will run some checks to help get this sorted.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Android. Never had a issue with it till last week
