Turning Roaming off

Hi,

i go to New York in a few weeks and just wondered if i turn my roaming off on my phone am i still able to use imessage/whatsapp ? even i have added on the travel data pass on my phone while im out there? or will i still need my roaming on ?

No, you need Roaming to be ON on your phone as well as enabled on your MyEE a/c to use any data or make & receive calls & texts whilst outside the UK. Having a roaming add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c.

@GabssL123_ Both iMessage and what’s app use data these will only work if roaming is on when using cellular data. but they also work using Wi-Fi when your connected to Wi-Fi so roaming could be off. if you only intend to use Wi-Fi you can switch roaming off. But if you purchase an add on for roaming you’ll need roaming on to use that add on.
