Hi @Thecrim22

Text ROAMING to 150 and make sure roaming, international calls and premium text are activated on your account before you leave the UK.

Thanks

Hello what is the difference between these 2 data passes ? I have the travel data pass . Thanks

The travel data passes are very expensive for hardly any data at all and that’s all you get is a little data, if possible I would go for the roam abroad pass and remove the travel data pass from yre account, the travel data passes charge you daily for data and the roam abroad pass charges you roughly £10 per month to use yre mins, text and so much of yre  data in other country’s. Just check that it works in the country yre going too. Research before you go because I’ve seen people not understand the travel data pass and come back with massive bills.

Hi @tildan,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

The Travel Data Pass gives you a set amount of data to use for 24 hours, while the Roam Abroad Pass allows you to use standard minutes, text and data plan allowances while abroad in USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, as well as 47 European destinations, just as you would in the UK.

Where are you travelling to?

James

Thanks for explaining that, I was unsure of the difference.
Just been to Austria for a week & came back to an £84 bill, I’d called EE & asked for roam abroad adding, sounds like they added travel data instead.
I’m going on a cruise to USA, South Pacific, NZ & Australia for 5 weeks & need some data. I’ll make sure it’s roam abroad I ask for. 👍🏼

@Vicki60 : The Travel Data Pass is not operative in the EU; it's only for roaming outside the EU. You must have been charged for something else incl. the £2 a day EU roaming for using your UK allowances there.

It seems there are no answers to the original question. I'm too looking for answers while I wait for EE agents to get back to me.

I have Travel Data Pass Max enabled this morning and to expire when I return from the States in a week. It says free trial.

My question, is Travel Data Pass Max the same as Roam Further Pass?

Travel Data Pass and Travel Data Pass Max are 2 different things.

I agreed with EE agent for Roam Further Pass as it is cheaper than travel data pass and I just treat my phone the same way as back home..

No, @James_B explains in his post https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Mobile-Services/Travel-data-pass-max/m-p/1142616/highlight/true#M6899 :

You have chosen wisely.
