Six months before I can add a second SIM??!

I joined EE mobile two months ago and have so far not been able to add a second SIM for my daughter. I went into an EE store today and was told this is not possible until 6 months. Is this really true?! Why on earth not? I literally want to buy more services from them and they don’t want it apparently. Utterly bizarre. Is there a way I can do this? I want to stay with EE as it is the best service where I have moved house to.

Good morning @Colliewobble, welcome to the EE Community!

Whilst there isn't a hard six month rule on adding extra lines to your account, we recommend that it can take up to six months for this option to become available.

When any customer joins us, they're assigned an internal credit class based around their initial credit check; this determines what they're able to have active as a recurring charge on their account.

Provided you manage your account well and always pay on-time, this should increase, and whilst it can take up to six months it can often be quicker than that too.

Depending on what this credit class is, it's sometimes possible for us to send over a credit referral too, so I'd definitely get back in touch with our customer care team, and we can make sure we've reviewed all of your options here.

Hi @Colliewobble

Sounds like EE want to ensure you can pay your current plan on time and in full before extending your eligibility to more credit. .

Thanks
