Hello,

I am a pay monthly customer with the roam abroad option activated. Today I landed in San Diego and it says 5G on the screen, data is working, but no actual signal. All the bars are empty!

I am not sure how this is possible but would anyone know a potential fix?

Things to mention:

I am using an Iphone Pro Max 13. 

Tried everything - rebooted several times, chose manually a different network, tried 4G instead of 5G  Auto or On, literally all options that I could think of.

I have used the roam abroad in multiple countries in the EU without any issues. I have no spend cap activated on my account and there wasn't anything I could see in my EE account that can help with this.

I also cannot call EE on 150 because only data works, I cannot call anyone, it says call failed.

Welcome to the community

Have you tried resetting the network settings? Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings then follow the on-screen prompts.

I think it's going to be best for you to speak to our Mobile Care team. I know you're not able to make phone calls from your phone, but, I know of others in the community who have used a VoIP service such as Skype when in a similar situation. 

Hopefully they can check everything from our side and get you connected.
