Service issue in Italy 21/06

Hi 

My parents are in Italy at the moment (have been for a couple of weeks) and today have no service on their phones. Both show 4G coverage but they’re unable to connect to a network and cannot send / receive messages, connect to the internet or make calls. Is there a service/network outage? If not, any recommendations please?

Welcome to the community.

If there's a service outage, it's likely to be with the Italian network provider. Have they tried manually connecting to a different available network?
