Hello my rooming abroad is not working I arrived in New York yesterday and I cannot make calls and receive call on my phone , I added rooming so I can have this access, which I am paying 25 pounds for .

 

my phone is saying cut is on 🆘 

can you sort out this problem so I can have the rooming working to use internet when I am outside  to receive calls as well use internet outside I can’t use internet outside unless it is WiFi .

 

I did say to the advisor on the phone u was going g to New York for a important family event furneral and need my phone to be able to access calls inside and out side New York plus I will be having  doctors calls . 

can this be sorted  asap 

 

at this moment I can’t receive any messages through my phone if you text me or calls . 
I don’t know if you have a WhatsApp service.

 

 

 

I cannot use my data on my phone and the rooming is on but not working I am not happy about this .

As you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.

Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.

Otherwise you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

I still can’t access y ovine I spoke to an advisor on the phone can someone help I need this system up and running asap 

I cannot cal CS I can’t make any calls 

Hello I need urgent assistance can you not pass my phone number and details to an advisor I can’t make any calls on my phone it is not allowing me . Plus I don’t have Skype.

 I don’t understand why I am in this situation when I have spoken to an advisor before I left London on Friday instructed what I needed and was told my rooming will be up and working properly without any problems

I am very sorry we have no account access on the community, to get roaming activated please call us from any other phone on +44 (0)7953 966 150 or if you are able to access a VoIP calling service such as Skype on +44 (0)800 956 6000.

Regardless of any billing add-on, your ability to get coverage abroad (which calls, texts & mobile data rely on) is dependent on roaming being activated - which allows your phone to connect to foreign networks.

On PAYG, this is auto-enabled once your phone is used in the UK first.
On pay-monthly, this needs to be enabled manually - usually by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK. Did you do this?

If you are on pay-monthly and now find yourself abroad without having enabled roaming, your only recourse will be to contact CS to request it activated. You can either contact +44 7953 966150 from another working phone, or +44 800 9566000 using a web-calling app such as Skype over WiFi.

@Maximin , you can download Skype for free and use the free number to ring customer service to get roaming enabled on your account. We cannot do that for you, this is a public forum with no account access and we have no idea who you are either.
