Im abroad in cameroon and my phone doesnt connect to the local network on roaming, it's a contract phone with EE

Contract phones need to be manually activated for roaming, which is normally done by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK - this enables access to foreign networks, without which the symptoms you describe, are the result.
