Hi. I am off to the Canary Island for the first time outside Brexit. I am confused by the roaming charges. It says that if I pay £2.29 a day then I can use my phone exactly as I do in the UK but then I read that I will be charged for picture messages. It also says that if I started my contract before June 21 then I wont be charged at all. I have been with EE since they were Tmobile so many many years. Confused as to what I will be charged.
Thanks

@Twinstacks : It's not a Q of how long you've been with EE but when did you take out your current contract. Was it before or after 07/07/21?
You may use your usual UK allowances in the EU with up to 50 GB (contract) or 25 GB (PAYG) data per billing month if you have more. If on contract & your contract started after 07/07/2021 there'll be a £2.29 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or alternatively you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £15 / month. There are no extra roaming charges for PAYG.
If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.
You'll be charged for Picture Msgs on most contracts anyway.
