Hello, 

I am on a monthly subscription pack with EE. I am about to travel abroad (out of the UK and EU) and it is crucial for me to continue receiving calls and text messages on my mobile number.

I want to verify if roaming is activated on my mobile but none of the given methods work for me.

- When I text ROAMING to 150, I do not receive anything concerning my current roaming status and how to activate it. I instead receive the different codes I can text to 150 for free while in the UK and EU (BALANCE, ADDONS, etc.).

- When I connect to MyEE, and I go to ACCOUNT SETTINGS, there is nowhere written "Parental and Data Controls'' there to verify my roaming status. Instead I have options such as YOUR COSTS, ACCOUNT DETAILS, MANAGE YOUR SIM.

- when I type SPEND CAP to 150 I have the same text as when I type ROAMING.

Can someone please help me with these issues. Thank you.

PAYG is auto enabled for roaming as long as you've used the SIM in the UK previously. You don't need to change anything. If outside EU, do you have enough credit for making & receiving calls & texts while abroad?

As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/ .

All the things you tried, texting ROAMING or SPEND CAP & the "Parental and Data Controls'' settings, are only applicable to contracts not PAYG.
