Roaming not working in Lanzarote

bobbyhghs

I'm trying to get my phone to work in Lanzarote (Spain) but nothing is working. I've enabled roaming in the My EE website under Parental and Data Controls and also on my phone (Samsung) under mobile networks. I've tried selecting all the specific networks but they all say my SIM can't connect to that network. I've tried rebooting my phone and turning roaming off and on again.

I've got WiFi in the hotel but can't really go anywhere in case I get lost and can't ring EE for help because the network won't connect.

Hi @bobbyhghs

How long ago did you activate Roaming abroad in your My EE account?

Did you also enable the Call abroad setting?

Leanne.

I activated it last night on My EE (so it might just take a while to be fair as it states 24 hours) and call abroad this morning. I thought it would work straight away from my phone settings but I take it I'll probably just need to wait and see within 24 hours?

This can take 24 hours @bobbyhghs

Can you keep restarting your phone and if this is still not working after 24 hours, please get in touch with our mobile care team, they can get this looked into further for you.

Leanne.

@bobbyhghs : If you can't enable the Roaming Abroad and the Call Abroad & Premium Rate settings of your online MyEE, you will need to call CS. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. via Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband
