Been in Canada the past few days and was working fine. But since mid day it's been patchy with giving me signal to anything with no R symbol appearing on my bars. Any help appreciated

Same in Florida ,arrived 25th June and not had a connection for longer than 2 mins . I activated roaming before travelling and have spend last day and and a half trying to get a connection .My husband's phone is the same ....no connection. My daughter contacted EE in UK ,they said it was because we had a spending cap on ...that's off now but still no mobile data . I'm just glad to find out it's not just us that's having a problem ,as in it's more likely a USA / EE problem...which hopefully gets sorted soon 😬

I’ve been in Chicago since 17th June. Everything was working fine until yesterday morning when I couldn’t make calls or send SMS and 5G cnly worked intermittently, showing SOS most of the time. Same problem today. This is really frustrating as we’re off on a road trip and need to use GPS

I had a PM message from a Katie at technical support EE on the community
asking for more information as she wanted to sort issue...sent details and
🤞 something is being done. My signal still keeps coming and going. But as
others have said it is reassuring that the issue is EE and not mine.
It is major problem as reliant on data to travel/communicate etc...having
to buy coffees to use cafe internet so cost element involved.
Same issue for us re- GPS...can download maps to use off line BUT don't
work as well. So frustrating!

Really frustrating as I can’t use my phone to call ee and report it or find out what the problem is

Hi.
It does seem there's some larger problem, as I am also in New York. And my phone has gotten stuck into SOS mode the past two days. Actually, it goes in and out of SOS mode. And I have tried all of the on off switches, as well as resetting the network, as recommended. Tried calling EE but cannot get through, as call keeps failing.

Sorry I can't offer help. But simply commenting my identical problem might indicate it's not us. It's them.

Hi,

Yes, this happened to me (EE user, based in London) yesterday too when I arrived in New York. Turns out there is a big outage though so far it's been reported as a problem for US mobile customers abroad. But it seems it's affecting UK-based customers too?

@McDragon9  A WiFi connection has nothing to do with  EE.    A cellular data connection does.

so is it are you trying to connect to a WiFi connection ie a router or is a cellular data ?

If it’s a cellular data connection

Are you on contract or PAYG ? If on contract have you enabled roaming on your account before you left the UK ?  This is done by texting ROAMING to 150 or by calling customer services to request this to be enabled on your EE account

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@McDragon9 : When roaming in Canada you will be connecting to a local mobile network. WiFi is not involved & is anyway no concern of EE.
