Roaming in Canada

Recently arrived in Canada and have paid the £9.50 payment to allow roaming, but I am unable to turn on Roaming within the EE account settings on  my Fiances's phone.

I get a message back asking me to text INFO to 150. This is impossible as I am running with a Canadian SIM on my own phone due to the same problem of not having connection over here.

No email to co tact EE either, can anyone help.

Thanks

@AndyH961 : If you can't enable the Roaming Abroad and the Call Abroad & Premium Rate settings of your online MyEE, you will need to call CS. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. via Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Sorry, no luck with this approach as do not have Skype installed and not possible with Viber or WhatsApp.

Why does EE not have an email address for those who cannot connect via mobile to use a WiFi connection instead.

Indeed of the highest order.

Will have a look at Skype tomorrow, but was preferring not to as I would keep MS products off my mobile whenever I can.

Hi @AndyH961

If you have access to another phone, you can call us on +44 7953966250 and the team will get this looked into for you.

Leanne.

Okay managed to install Skype, called EE and waited 30 mins to get connected, spoke with Declan who has appeared to have remedied the problem, despite getting cut off ten minutes into the call.

Significant others phone has now been sorted with initial intermittent roaming data, but appears to be settled and steady now.

Let's hope it continues.

Thanks for your assistance XRaySpeX
