@Mike_P1 : As it is not in EU, if you are on contract, you may use your usual UK allowances there with up to 50 GB data per billing month if you have more, when you buy for £15 / month or have already as a Smart Benefit the Roam Abroad Pass or you have an EE Max Plan. Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/australia. The Roam Abroad Pass is charged £15 per billing month from the billing month you order it (text ROAMING PASS to 150) to the billing month you cancel it (text STOP ROAMING PASS to 150).

Remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.

Hello @Mike_P1

Welcome to the community.

Before leaving the UK I would recommend texting ROAMING to 150 this will activate roaming for you.

If you do not have Inclusive Extras in your plan to use your phone like your home you will need to purchase the Roam Abroad Pass which costs £15 per billing month. This can be activated by texting ROAMING PASS to 150

On your return to the UK you can text STOP ROAMING PASS to 150 to stop any further charges.

If you have a plan with Inclusive Extras you can select the Roaming Pass within your My EE account which has no additional cost.

You can find more information on roaming in Australia HERE

There's not generally any gain from removing the roaming facility - it's free, and once setup doesn't hurt. Once your phone is setup for use abroad, it's often easier to leave it setup.

Billing add-ons you may add & remove as you see fit.

@Reg8015 : Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

@Rach_H : Giving users non-0800 nos. to call over Skype will cost them money. I wouldn't recommend it.

I have been trying now for over ten hours to get in contact with EE, this is not good enough, if this is not sorted in the next 24 hours I will be cancelling all 3 contracts and please take this email as notification of my cancellation as I am still in my 14 day period.

I only renewed my contract as I could use the phone in Europe but so far this is not the case, very disappointed.
