Hi, we are heading to EU destinations for 5 weeks and checking what the options are for roaming costs. We have two questions:
1) If we have more than one number/SIM under the same account, do we need a separate roam abroad pass for each of the SIM cards or does one pass work for all SIM cards in the account?
2) If we do not get the roam pass or activate the daily data pass and we turn off mobile data on the phone, can the phone still be used with wifi when locally available, and/or to do regular calls? If yes, what are the charges for making regular phone calls or sending texts when in EU if we do not have any of the monthly roam pass or daily data charge?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Welcome to the community. I'll do my best to answer your questions.
1. Yes, you will need a roaming pass per number.
2. You can use WiFi with no charge from EE. However, regular calls or text messages will trigger the daily charge (£2.29), even if you're connected to WiFi.
This EE Roaming tool explains everything you need to know.
