Roaming charges when SIM only contract ends

My 24m sim only contract comes to an end on 4 July. This was taken out before roaming charges were introduced so I’ve had 2 years of free EU roaming. I assume from 4 July I’ll have to buy a roaming pass or pay the daily rate.
Can anybody confirm either way please?

To clarify terminology here, you have a rolling contract whose minimum term expires on July 4th, but if you do nothing - nothing changes.

So if you want to remain on your current terms, then do nothing - it will continue. If you choose to move to a current plan, then that will include the new EU-roaming regime.

I believe your first statement is correct. I’ve been told that there will be no change to my data package when my contract is up, but for some reason I had assumed I’d lose my inclusive roaming.
I had a less than satisfactory call with retentions this week and said roaming was important and they didn’t say just stay where you are and instead offered 2 new contracts which were less favourable.

Will talk to them again and confirm back here what they say

I would assume retentions would want to encourage you back under a minimum term contract, and offer the best they could under that remit.

If you consider that your current plan is better for you than any current offer, then the answer is self-evident.

I've had an online chat and they have confirmed that I will retain the free EU roaming after my fixed period ends. I'd only lose this if I took a new contract (which I have no intention of doing).

Here's the relevant bit of the chat with the agent
Thank you for being on chat, I have check your account and I can see that if you stay on this current price plan , the roaming services will continue .

You: ok so unless I take a new contract I'll continue to get the inclusive roaming at no additional cost?

K: yes that right, you will have the roaming services at no extra cost
