Roaming EU charges

I have just changed my sim only plan yearly contract from 4 September as advised by EE I would be moved from existing plan to a higher price one or accept their exclusive deal ( still more expensive but cheaper if I had not opted for it).

I am unsure if this means I will loose my free EU data roaming from 1 Jan 2022 as I have just read that it is not only new customers that will have to pay an extra daily charge but also those from July 2021 that have upgraded.

The 'small print' made no mention of this. Should this be the case I would have looked elsewhere. Do EE class this as an 'upgrade' or an amendment to plan?

@demirobs  It’s a new contract so come January you need to purchase a add on to use your allowance in the EU.   That add on is £10 at present.  Just to point out vodaphone have just just done this also so I expect to he other 2 to follow soon.
