Why am I being charged for making calls to the UK on WiFi from the USA?

Hi I made a call to USA by mistake without thinking it will cost and I changed my number yesterday cause they kept calling will I still be charged it was a 25 min phone call

You only get charged extra for Out Going Calls to the USA, any incoming Calls to your Mobile are not charged to you, the Caller pays the cost, this the same for both Cell phone Calls over the Mobile Network or using Mobile WiFi.

What if I called them and they didn’t answer and it went to voice mail does it still charge

If it goes to VM you are still charged. A connection has been made.
