I too have same problem with data roaming not working since I arrived in Singapore!
Data roaming and auto network provider switched on. It was working OK I'm Australia for past 2 weeks!
EE site very unhelpful with answers or solution!
I pay monthly to have data roaming switched on.

Can you voice-call roam & text-message roam?
In other words - is this just a problem with mobile data whilst roaming, or a general inability to roam?

Ptoblem still.persiss since I arrived and issue is with data roaming only. I tried selecting specific network provider SingTel, and still same issue. EE message shows that I have to buy a data package!
This is even though I have data roaming for Group A countries which includes Singapore as per EE website.
I am seriously considering leaving EE on my return home due to the terrible inconvenience this has caused me.

Could you please confirm what data add-on you have and does this show as active within your My EE account?
Are you able to make calls and texts OK?

I have Roam Abroad Pass and also pay 2.29 per day for EU roaming.
The Roam Abroad Pass worked as expected whilst I was in Australia ( Group
A), however soon as I landed in Singapore ( same group) that data roaming
did not work!

The Roam Abroad Pass is not valid for Singapore. Nowt to do with groups.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

Do you have 1 of these data roaming add-ons, offered to you upon landing?
Those are what you need to use data in Singapore. This isn't covered by the Roam Abroad Pass unlike Australia.
