Re: Roaming Charges for Turkey Extortionate

My daughter has just got back from Greece and I’ve recently received a bill with over £70 of extra charges. I understood that I would pay the Roaming Data charge of £2.29 but got a bill for the £2.29 a day PLUS a Travel Data for £7.84 a day. Can anyone explain how this is possible please?

@Tonymc9 : It's shouldn't be possible!

You were charged 8 days for daily EU roaming, which is correct.

You were also charged 7 days for the Travel Data Pass, which is not operative in Greece, even if you had subscribed to it, as you presumably had. See Capture.JPG

 However you might have picked up a nearby Turkish network while using data even briefly on 7 days. You could query this with CS.

Hi @Tonymc9

@XRaySpeX  is spot on. Your daughter should have disabled automatic network selection. CS should be able to reimburse these costs.

Thanks
