There is no such option as Menu > Account Settings > Control Content > Roaming Abroad... This just confirms to me just how hopeless EE are... For 2 years I've been asking them to remove age restrictions on my account... No joy... And now phone doesn't work in Ireland... Why is it so difficult for EE to get anything right... My wife has the sames phone but with Vodafone... And nk issues... EE = Useless

@andyg1001 : Then you must be on PAYG, which is auto enabled for roaming.

Hi XRaySpex thanks for your response.  Just  out of interest I am on a contract NOT PAYG.  I contacted EE and had to change the settings on my phone from Automatic network selection to manual network selection then they informed me which network to select.  Not particularly straightforward as my wife's phone automatically connected to the appropriate network.
