i have the same issue. i can't call UK number as i would be paying for roaming. Why isn't there a webchat facility or whatsapp contact number?
If I'm paying for DATA surely i should be reciving it on my account no matter where I am in the world. I can't exactly plan my work schedule around renewal date. Not very hepful for EE to restrict the refresh of the allowance if the device isn't in the country.

I am abroad. I have Wi-fi and NOT roaming using my EE. The calls to EE in UK would be £2.05 per minute. There is no webchat service.
No error message, just telling me i have insufficient data to gift. I have zero allowance left after refresh on 15th.
Last time i was abroad, they advised me i could go online using a PC - sign on to my account and that should be ok. But my account has no data allocated after the refresh.
My 16 year old son (in the UK) is calling them as i write this to sort it out. But of course they may not be able to help him as I am the account holder.
I normally have my EE sim when i am abroad for incoimg emergency calls only due to high charges.
I just want my allowance added to my number for which i am paying for in the UK.

I understand that. The point is I would have to pay international charges to customer services when all I want is what I have paid for in the UK. The data should refresh on given date so I can share with children left behind in the UK.
Seems ridiculous that I can’t do this because I’m abroad on the day of refresh. And there is no chat messaging service to enable me in reaching a resolution.

Not really helpful I’m afraid. I’m on a different time zone thousands of miles away. My plan refreshed yesterday and I can’t use the data to be shared with my children.
customer service unavailable via app messaging and my wife can’t talk to them in uk because she’s not the account holder. But I’m sure I’ll be paying for the data I won’t be able to use for the next 15 days.
Seems unfair, wouldn’t you agree.

I received a call from customer services. Absolutely useless. He advised me he could not gift from my allowance to my kids phones because i wasn't in the UK. I explained the situation as i am now paying for UK data no one can use. It's ridiculous i can't access my data from my account online and do the gifting. Told him i will be looking at another provider when i get back. I can't have my work schdule revolve around the data refresh date in te UK.
