ROAMING PASS NOT WORKING IN THE USA

On arrival to the US roaming did not work. It was set up a number of months ago and worked fine when I was here in May. Up to this point EE have been great, but with this issue its been a bad experience. I have five bars but they are grayed out meaning that no cellular operators are being picked up. When out yesterday I was able to send and receive Whats-app and Waze but no phone connection. On the EE website for my phone it shows roaming being turned off and I cannot turn it on.

Via email they have suggested turning my phone off and on again, of setting and un-setting flight mode none of which worked. Now after a week of my trying to get a result they now seem to be washing their hands of the issue saying that they do not guarantee to provide a roaming service.

Any ideas will be gratefully received.

If the "international roaming" facility is blocked and you're not able to activate it yourself, then you have identified the cause of your issue.

Only by contacting EE directly will this be rectified - either by your calling from another phone (+44 7953 966250), by calling from a web-calling app such as Skype (+44 800 9566000) or by using live-chat when logged into your myEE online account.

I'm not sure who you've been emailing, because EE don't have customer-facing email contact.
