Hi there,
I have been travelling in Canada for 3 weeks without any problem. On the 9th August I discovered I wasn’t getting text messages from my bank (TSB). I reported the problem to the bank and to EE via the app. The 2nd operator I spoke 2 advised I reset the settings on my phone. Later that day once I had done that I discovered that I wasn’t able to make international calls / premium calls, wasn’t able to receive any telephone calls (all diverted to voicemail somewhere).
I have made repeated calls to EE over the last 4 days to have this resolved without success. The 7th operator I spoke to said that he couldn’t help me any further unless he had an alternative number he could call me on. I provided him with the number of my hotel in Canada and spoke to the hotel staff this morning to arrange the call to be passed to me. I spoke to another operator this morning (9th member of EE I have spoken to) and they now tell me that they can’t make international calls). I explained that I’ll be in North America until the spring of next year. If they are unable to make international calls how are they going to be able to resolve my issue. I only signed up to EE in July and I have to say I am disappointed and unimpressed by the level of service provided.

@jmac0176 Roaming is only for 2 months out of any 4 month period after this you’ll pay for all calls/texts and EE can even cut you off incase you start running up a bill. You really should get a local SIM card. No UK contract is for long stays abroad.

If you log log into your My EE account online and go to Menu > Account Settings > Parental and Data Controls > Enable Roaming and also Make calls abroad from the UK > Do they show as ticked?
