Partner can not call me when abroad

Unable to partner when abroad yet my partner can call me?

Are you and your partner both abroad at the moment?

Have you tried calling another number?

Are you pay as you go or pay monthly?

Hi Katie 

Yes both in Malta 

Family account different numbers both have roaming etc switched on 
I can call Jill and our son who is home in UK 
Jill can call son but not me. Jill can message and face time however

Is there a message when your partner tries to call you?

By any chance has your partner been able to try manually connect to another available network to see if the call goes through?

Hi Katie 

No indication of a call at all. 

We have tried auto and manual provider switched off 5g etc turned it back on as well. 
This happened last year and EE said must be a sim issue and sent us a new sim when we returned from Paris. It’s clearly not that 😀
