Nusiance calls

Hi,

I am absolutely plagued with nuisance calls. I get at least 20 a day, every day . It's relentless. It happens day and night . No set time. Every time the number calls me it is different usually 0843,0330 or 0845 so it's not like I can block a specific number or person. 

I have been in to a local store where I might as well have been from mars because the person 'helping' me didn't have a clue. It happened twice while I was in the store.  I was told  'Just don't answer it'.

If anything that seems to have made it worse. 

It's driving me to distraction. Someone else must also have experienced this.?

Indeed so - spam calls are a problem for fixed line & mobile users up & down the country.

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're receiving a lot of nuisance calls. These types of problems tend to settle down after a while of not answering. If the number appears, you can block it through your phone menu.

If it doesn't get any better and it's unbearable, you can change your phone number through our customer service team.

Good morning Christopher 

I was just reading through the trail and see that you have mentioned changing your own personal number.  I am also plagued with these Heat Loss  nuisance calls which are relentless and am unable to stop them, my number which I have had for many years leads me to my initial thought of "why should I have to do that because of these wretched nuisance calls"

To just not have a mobile leaves me rendered without any form of contact or the ability to access the things that I need to be able to work and pay the bills as I need to phone to enable me the security at work to validate a VPN. 

Is it just a plain and simple change your number or is there a way of reporting this company to a government body to stop them from the bombardment of harassment and incessant calling from 8am to 10pm daily.  I am starting to dread my phone ringing and I need my phone to activate security with a VPN for work, I enjoy my phone and bought one of the latest models but this is just becoming a doom and gloom nature every time that it rings.

What is the next step to eliminating this absolute barrage of abuse?

Nuisance calls are an industry-wide problem, but ultimately no-one can stop another person or organisation from dialling your number.

You can report spam callers by texting CALL followed-by-the-number, to 7726 (SPAM on your phone's keypad) eg CALL 0345123456
