My partner has been unable to receive or send texts since we entered Spain. My phone is actually normally can anyone suggest why he is having a problem and how it can be solved.

Thanks so much for your help. Went on to account settings and roaming was blocked and it has now been turned on. Hoping all will now be okay, says could take 24 hours to activate. Thanks for helping two oldies who are very appreciative.

@HP131 : Can he make & receive calls?
Is he on contract or PAYG? Did he use that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before he left to go abroad?
If he is on contract, did he activate roaming on his EE a/c before he left UK by texting ROAMING to 150?
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Otherwise try logging into his MyEE account online & go to Menu > Account Settings > Control Content > Roaming Abroad and also Call Abroad and Premium Rate. They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated. If they are not ticked, can he activate these settings?
PAYG is auto enabled for roaming. He won't see any of those settings & don't need to change anything. If outside EU, does he have enough credit for making calls from abroad?
