Hi all
I hope you can help
My boyfriend and I are on a cruise and his iPhone has this morning come up saying no sim. We've tried everything but to no avail, sim card out and back in etc
I've dialled the EE customer services who sent me a text but he can't receive one on his phone as there's no sim. He tried calling over WiFi but the call fails. He just can't speak to someone to sort it and we have a week to go before we are home
Does anyone know of a way of talking to a human to get it resolved please?
Thank you in advance

Sounds like it could be related to the SIM/account @Leighsterrr
Is the phone on a pay monthly contract or pay as you go?

Hi @Leighsterrr
Is roaming activated. Its also likely it receives no reception if you're out to sea.
Thanks

Hi @Leighsterrr
Welcome to the community.
Are you within range of a nearby country's mobile network? Has his phone worked at all since you've been abroad?
Do you have a phone that works?

Hi @Christopher_G and @Northerner
Yes, we've swapped the sim to another phone and it's definitely the sim that isn't working as it had no sim recognised in my phone either. He's had no issues with it until now, it worked OK when we left Sweden on Sunday, he had it on plane mode yesterday while at sea and when he switched it off plane mode when docking in Lithuania today it then came up with the no sim message
Thank you both or your replies

Its on a pay monthly contract @Christopher_G
Eventually got to speak to someone at EE who told us there is nothing that they can do until we're home. I was hoping they could issue an e-sim to him to be able to download over WiFi but unfortunately not
Thank you to anyone who replied though

Thanks for coming back to us with an update @Leighsterrr
I am sorry any replacement/new SIM cards would need to be activated on the EE network in the UK before being used abroad.
I hope you have a lovely time and if you need any help when you return please let us know.
Leanne.
