No service

There is "no service" on my phone today all day. Has the SIM been blocked for some reason? I have restarted my device and have also installed the security updates. I am unable to call 150 for help as the SIM is not detected on my phone. The chatbot on the EE app was not helpful. Please advise. This is urgent. Thanks.

I went to the EE store yesterday. The staff mentioned that my phone is not reading the SIM and that there is no issue with the SIM. Seems to be bad luck with my Pixel 6 as it is only 2 years old. Thanks for the prompt replies on this thread.

@gaurav_93  if your device is reporting Sim not detected, then you’re going to have to request a replacement Sim card as your Sim card is faulty.  You can do this by calling customer services from a different device or by going to EE store, and with in date photo ID make a request for a replacement sim.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

"No service" of itself could just be a symptom of a local coverage fault, which you can check for on the "check status" option of https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee

"SIM not detected" would indeed be a symptom of a SIM or phone fault.

I will try going to the store tomorrow morning. I do not have another device. My current SIM is only 2 years old, so I am surprised it has stopped working. I did upgrade my plan to a new SIM only plan a few days ago through the EE website. However I have not received the new SIM as yet.

No issues for "check status". Is it possible that my SIM has been disabled already while the new upgrade - SIM only plan - is being sent by courier?

If all you have done is "upgraded" an existing line to a new plan, this is just a change of payment plan and does not need a new SIM.

Plans can be changed by phone to CS and are often active before the call is complete.
