No VoLTE and Wifi Calling after phone change

So after i upgraded my phone, ive lost two services i use a lot, tried messaging support and that didn't get me anywhere so im hoping someone can help me here.

When i go into phone settings, the settings tab where usually volte and wifi calling as well as ip calling and all that jazz can be configured, the tab is just completely empty. After going into service mode i found out that even there the toggles are greyed out and ims status shows unregistered. So now what? 😮 

Phone in question is a Sony Xperia 1 II. If i pop my sim back in my previous phone, a razer phone 2, both volte and wifi calling works fine. It even works on my old galaxy s5, but for some reason it wont work at all on the xperia. Any ideas?

Did you get the device from EE directly? How long have you had it for?

Hi, no i didnt buy from EE, i bought it second hand, but all my phones been like that since ive been with EE. I double checked and it is an EU model, not a US or JP import so it shouldnt matter... Seriously puzzled as to whats wrong.

I'm afraid we can't guarantee WiFi and 4G Calling support on phones that weren't purchased directly from EE.

Have you tried reaching out to the manufacturer for support?
