I’m moving to Ireland in February and have been a customer of ee for several years now and was wondering how I go about changing my phone number to an Irish one or would it not matter if i dont?

Hi @Ellaford23,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Calls, texts and data within the Republic of Ireland are included within your allowance. If your plan started after 7 July 2021 and you use up your allowance, a £2 daily charge will apply.

Find out more in Changes to EU Roaming and Roaming Costs.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Profile closed,

That's not quite right, roaming in Ireland works slightly differently to other EU countries.

You can find out more in the links I posted above.

Hope this helps. 🙂

@James_B : What exactly does "Calls and texts within the Republic of Ireland" mean? Making them while you are in RoI or just making them to nos. in RoI?

Hi @XRaySpeX,

I was referring to using your UK allowances whilst physically in the Republic of Ireland, although both are correct as you can also use your allowance to call number in the EE Europe Zone whilst in the ROI.

Hope this helps. 🙂
