Hi. This is iqra. I am currently living in UK from last 2 years. I am using EE sim. Now i am going to pakistan to visit my family for a month. But i am wondering how i will turn on the international roaming so that i can get the calls on EE sim while i will be in pakistan. Can you please guide me about this?

Hi @Iqrajaved,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Are you using a pay as you go or pay monthly plan?

James

I don't know the difference between them but yes i always bought a monthly pack.

@Iqrajaved   That’s pay as you go.    You’ll need credit on your account to make calls/texts as your pack allowance doesn’t cover you in Pakistan.

Have a look at THIS and make sure you select PAYG at the top.    To see what data you can have and the costs scroll to the bottom of that page I’ve linked too.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Yeah i have checked the cost. But what is the next step to turn on the roaming like if i'll have recharge in my sim than that would be enough to get a calls or i need to do something else to turn on the roaming?

PAYG phones are auto-enabled for roaming, but you need to have used the phone for a call or text in the UK first, before the international facility is activated.

Did you?

Yes i am using the ee sim for the calls and msgs in uk but on monthly pack. So i think i need to use the sim on pay u go first in the uk for atleast once then i can use in pakistan as well. Am i correct?

Sort of! You say you've already used that PAYG SIM for making calls, so you don't need to do it again.
