Immediately cut off from using phone after giving 30 day notice period

As the title suggest, I have been immediately cut off from being able to use my phone after giving my 30 day notice period.

My contract had finished, but everything I have read says I will get a 30 day period where I am still charged and can still use my phone.

If anyone could explain how this happened, but more importantly how I can get my number back so I can let people know I have changed mu number it would be appreciated.

EE used to be a great company, but recently have had a number of fails by them.

Hi @dddd565656565

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened. If you gave your 30 days notice, the account should be live until that comes to an end. I recommend speaking with our Mobile Care team so they can look into this further for you.

Ok, I just called to give my 30 day notice. My contracted ended years ago.

Instead of having my contract for another 30 days in which I could move to a new number (which is what I want), I have immediately been cut off from being able to use my phone.

Why on earth has this happened? ALL the information I have read says there will be a 30 day period after giving notice before I am cut off.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You should never have cancelled with EE, which does require you to give 30 notice & shuts off your line at the end of it  but should have requested your PAC from EE & given it to your preferred new provider.
