I’m being left messages but non recorded

Hi Leanne. Can you help me?  People are leaving voice messages on my mobile but they are not being recorded. I am just receiving a typed version of the message which is often inaccurate. My voicemail is turned on

Welcome to the EE Community

What type of phone is it you are using? Is it an iPhone? Have you checked for the Live voicemail setting mentioned as this will show a transcription of your voicemail message.

That is in Settings> Phone> Live Voicemail
