How do I leave myself a voicemail?

Until recently I used to call my own mobile number and leave myself a voice message. It was very useful between meetings as a way of taking notes on the key points. However now when I call my number it goes to my voicemail settings rather than otherwise. Any ideas how to change this back or givve me the option to call and leave a voicemail?

Couple of things to try.

Try putting 141 in front of your number when calling yourself.

Set the VM to immediate divert when Busy.(engaged).

What kind of phone do you have? A lot of smartphones have a voice memos feature, which I've found handy for situations like this.

Or dial your voicemail using speed-dial 1 or 222, choose option 3, then option 5 to send a message. Enter your mobile number and hey presto.

Long-winded but should work. I'd suggest a voice memo on your phone's menu as the quickest option here.

I used to just call my number which was great while I was driving as I have speed dial for my phone setup in the car.  Not sure why EE changed it TBH. 

I don't have a voicememo function while driving, if I need to pull over to get this to work I might as well write it down.
