Free 'Calling abroad from the UK' add-on query

I have a 'Calling abroad from the UK' add-on, but it's not any of the 3 charged options - i.e. it's not 'The International', 'The International Extra', or the '£2.16 International Pass add-on'. No monthly charge is showing on my bill for this particular add-on. My account doesn't allow me to see any particulars, so I'm not sure exactly what this means. My settings give me the option to add the three paid-for options, but not to see what the add-on I have provides me with. Could what I already have for free include some of the same benefits as those advertised? I wonder if what I have is a holdover from an earlier offering. I'm hoping I could still benefit from discounted call rates that are the same as in the charged add-ons. I've been a customer for some time and I'm now out of contract and on a rolling 'EE One Essentials SIM Unlimited 1m £33' plan. Below is a screenshot showing what I can see. The country I need to call is Poland for which the EE website advertises the 'International Pass' add-on has a discounted calling rate of 8p per min.

It is a legacy version of what is now the '£2.16 International Pass add-on' for contracts. Are you on contract or PAYG? The range of countries & costs differs between them. See a comparison in The CALL ABROAD Add-on for Cheap Calls/Texts from UK .

Hi @RH1978,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

As @XRaySpeX mentioned this is a legacy add-on which stopped being offered in January 2023, but if you already had it at the time you will have kept it.

This does offer reduced rates for calling, though not as reduced as the chargeable international pass. For Poland using the free pass calls would be 11p a min for landline and 21p a min for mobile.

The post linked above shows the full table of rates and you can also find the full list of rates for the add-on situated on page 10 of our standard and non standard charges price guide here Pay Monthly Price Plans Terms and Conditions | Help | EE
