Can EE not connect to any networks in Laos? Any that come up I try to connect manually but it just says 'the sim card does not allow a connection to this network'.

Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly? PAYG is auto-enabled for roaming providing you've used the phone in the UK before leaving the country.
If on pay-monthly, did you enable roaming before leaving the UK?

Pay-monthly and roaming was enabled long before leaving the UK.

Hi @JR85
Make sure roaming is activated under your phone network settings.
If yes and you cannot connect manually then you'll need to speak to EE CS.
Thanks
To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

Hi @JR85
Even on your phone as I've mentioned above as by default it's normally off.

Hi @JR85
Use Skype and call EE on WiFi using +44 800 079 8586.
You cannot have roaming activated as it should be working.
Thanks

If you've been able to connect to local networks in other countries, this suggests your EE roaming facility is enabled, and the issue is with the Laos networks.
Not much EE can do about those, except to investigate them on being made aware. Unfortunately the nature the beast is that reporting roaming issues whilst abroad, can mean lengthy calls to CS.
