I have been with EE for years and this 'supposed' fault has been constant and regular. The reply from support is 'ring us and we'll help' but they don't. I believe they have this set to reduce the amount of gifting data that they have to let people share. It is a deliberate policy and they care nothing for the people who use it... if they didn't they would have fixed this years ago..

@etwgethwertwy Ive only had an gifting issue once. And EE are not trying to limit the amount you gift because that would be a breach of the gifting T&Cs that they set. Have you tried gifting data via your online account? Have you tried just refreshing that page ?

Hi Chris... you work for EE? You actually know that they are not reducing the amount of gifting that people can do? This is an ongoing problem that I have experience with EE of and on through the years... years.

To get the error message showing on your EE account looked into you would need to contact our technical support guides, they can raise a support ticket to get this resolved for you.
If you’re on a unlimited plan you can gift up to 100GB of data or 120GB if you’re on a 5G smart handset plan. This will be the first 100/120GB and any data usage will reduce your giftable allowance.
Leanne.

Thank you, Lianne... that is helpful. What I have discovered from Support is that if you use 100GB of data on the sim card you wish to gift from, you cannot gift data from that, even though it is unlimited. So, in fact, EE are limiting the amount you can gift.
Anyway... that is a good answer, thank you.

@etwgethwertwy you can only gift from the first 100 gig from a unlimited tariff allowances.
Perhaps you should read the T&Cs. HERE EE are not limiting you on what you can gift you are in fact use that amount you can gift.
Gift it before you use it
