I’ve literally just joined EE, one of the attractions was reasonable roaming costs in the USA.
I’ve done a bit of searching and see that EE haven’t launched 4G Calling in the USA yet? See link below:
However, there are also posts on the community saying that 4G Calling/VoLTE is working fine in the US?
Can anyone (preferably EE) confirm whether 4G Calling IS in fact available and enabled when roaming in the USA?
I know from event visits using VF that all 3G services have been pulled in the US leaving 2G (patchy) for phones/MNOs that don’t support 4G Calling/VoLTE roaming, this could result in me leaving during the 14-day cooling off period….
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

That’s brill, thanks.
I presume the link I posted is therefore out of date?

Hi @Canada_67,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Although 4G Calling isn't available worldwide, we've made it available in the US due to the switch 3G switch off.
Hope this helps.

@James_B : Like adding "with the exception of the USA" to the aforementioned article?
