Data outage

Yesterday my data was playing up, I had two data plans in my phone, primary and secondary but they shared the same number, I never really understood it but didn’t question it as it never gave me any problems. However before I knew EE was have problems I presumed I lost my services because of the duel data plan. So I deleted the one data plan, then realised it was EE with the problem, however now EE is back and running my phone is still without signal or data, no bars at all and not even 3G, now worried I have messed it up deleting the data plan but don’t know what to do about it, been on hold to EE for the last 1hour 😞 just want to know how this data plan thing works and what I can do to get all my Signal etc back
