I am going to the USA next week and want to add my roaming plan. Last year it was a simple phone call, this year its a nightmare as keep getting a text which does not help.

How do I add this without all this hassle?

Text both ROAMING & ROAMING PASS to 150.

There's two parts to this.

1: Your phone needs permission to connect to foreign networks, without which no-service will be the result. This is free to enable by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK

2: Billing add-ons reduce the cost of roaming. ROAMING PASS text purchases the "Roam Abroad" pass which extends your UK allowances in the US.
