I have a sim card I purchased and have been using for 2 months. So far, the only issue I have had has been receiving text messages. That seemed to be a network issue that was resolved about a month ago.
The other day I tried to register the mobile number with my existing account. Firstly, it registered the number but when I entered the validation SMS pin, the site reported an error. From then on, I have been unable to register the mobile number, I keep getting the message "An account holder for this number already exists." but that is not the case as I have never successfully registered the number and I only purchased it a couple of months ago.
The next problem is, I have started receiving an endless stream of text messages from 150 stating I have x GBP and I can check my allowances by responding with code AL. I'm not sure why I have any credit since the last payment was consumed by my monthly renewal.
In addition to this text message problem, I can no longer send messages nor make calls. I can receive messages and calls though.
My mobile account should still be in credit since I only renewed a couple of weeks ago.
Something feels very broken. What can I do to resolve this?
