Cannot connect in the USA

Hi There,

I am currently in NYC and my phone has not connected to mobile service at all. I've had no signal, no welcome text, I bought the roaming add on before I came, however it will not connect me to just normal phone service, let alone mobile data. 

I cannot find an answer that works on the forum, I cannot text or make phone calls to try and get assistance on this as I have no network. I can only connect to WiFi at this time.

Having a roaming add-on doesn't enable the roaming facility to allow your phone to connect to foreign networks. If this is not active, your phone will not connect to any network other than EE-UK.

Assuming you're on pay-monthly, you need to login to your myEE online account or app, navigate to "parental & data controls", and enabled "international roaming" & "call abroad & premium rate".

If, for whatever reason, you can't do so - you will need to contact EE C/S to activate roaming on your phone. Either +44 7953 966250 from any working phone or +44 800 0798586 from a web-calling app such as Skype.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately when I log into myee account it does not have the option to toggle these controls on and off and just suggests I text ROAM to 150 (not possible in these circumstances as I have no signal). 

I also cannot call on Skype as when I try to log on it wishes for me to verify my number via text (also not possible for the above reasons) - is there any other way to contact EE can, an email or WhatsApp?

If you are on PAYG, your phone is auto-enabled for roaming providing you have used it in the UK first before travelling. If you haven't done so, there is no workaround.

EE have no email contact, the means of doing so are as I mentioned previously.
