Please assist - recently returned to UK, existing SIM and number, topped up, bought data and minutes, but cannot connect - any ideas ?

Please assist - recently returned to UK, existing SIM and number, topped up, bought data and minutes, but cannot connect - any ideas ?

When was the last time you made a chargeable call or text before returning to the UK?

Your SIM/number might be in hibernation or dead.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Yup, was a few years back - but I still had a small credit, and it happily 
accepted my top up payment, so I assumed it was still ok. 

If it is in hibernation or dead - do you know what I can do to remedy the 
situation ?

Hi @Rods 

When your number is in hibernation, it is still possible to get it back until you’ve reached 269 days of no chargeable activity. You would need to call us.

After 269 days of inactivity we’ll send you a text to let you know the number will be disconnected within 24 hours.

After 273 days the number will be recycled and lost.
