Call waiting

Hello, I have call waiting enabled in my settings, I have an iPhone XS Max, I am pay as you go but with a monthly bundle. I have reset my phone done all phone updates but Call waiting still isn’t working. I checked it on *#43# first one says enabled but rest say disabled? Someone help please this is so annoying and I’m missing so many calls!

Forgot to add.. when I was on a different provider it worked. Only since iv been with EE which is almost 2months now it hasn’t worked.

EE PAYG doesn't support call waiting.
