Blocked sim

Hi,

I have a pay-as-you-go SIM card and it’s now blocked because I haven’t used it for around 6 months. I’m currently in Australia.

How can I contact customer support without calling them? It’s expensive to call. Does online chat work or can I email them instead?

My EE phone number is 07*********. It is very frustrating to pay for those calls so can someone unblock my SIM card from here?

Thanks!

Hi @emilijazuk,

Welcome to the EE Community

Currently the only way to restore your number from hibernation will be to give us a call

I am not sure how much longer you are in Australia, but you do have 90 days from when the number is hibernated to call us before it is cancelled, if you were travelling back to the UK soon to call then. The full hibernation process is detailed on our help page

@emilijazuk : Sounds like your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation due to non-use. If it has, topping-up now would be too late.

EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

There is no Live Chat for PAYG & EE provides no email contact.
