Hi all
yesterday I had my first ever telephone conversation with EE, today I had a call to my non EE mobile from 01438 989231 which I believe is a direct partner of EE.
Are EE in the habit of sharing their customers non EE numbers to companies I have never heard of nor want to know?
Not a great first interaction to be honest.
[Mod edit: Corrected typing error in the number that contacted the user]

OK, thanks for confirming, @Skeeter1600e. I've edited the post to show the correct number that called you.
If you're an EE customer, you can see how your data is handled on our Privacy Policy.
If you have not consented to marketing contact, I recommend speaking with our Customer Care team, so they can look into what has happened.

Was there a typing error in the phone number you posted? 01438 989 231 is a number that one of our Direct Partner, Step Change, use.

Yes typing error, you have the right number.
I just wanted to know how one of your partners had my non EE number the day after I spoke to you in that phone.

OK, thanks @Skeeter1600e
I don't recognise that number, and it isn't registered as a Direct Partner number, although it is close.
Did you give them any information over the phone?

Thanks Chris, and yes you have the number correct, mine was a typo
I didn’t answer, I did a reverse number look up which told me it who it was and that they were a direct partner..
I am just a little miffed that my first proper contact with EE has resulted in one of their partners getting my private number and then cold calling me.
