I have a Samsung S10 with dual SIM.
EE SIM is primary and set to default for calls, messages and data with a Vodafone PAYG SIM as secondary.
Problem is there are times when the EE SIM will not do Wi-Fi dialling even though this is set by default for both SIM cards which is a massive inconvenience as the EE signal in my home is not great, however the Vodafone PAYG SIM always seamlessly flips over to Wi-Fi dialling.

If you have an Android device have you checked the WiFi calling settings? On some devices there is an option under WiFi calling that you can toggle between "Mobile Network Preferred" and "WiFi Preferred". If left on Mobile Network Preferred the phone tends to hang on tenaciously to the mobile network (even with a very poor signal). Toggling this to WiFi network preferred *should* cause the phone to switch to WiFi calling regardless of mobile network availability. It certainly worked for me when I had similar WiFi calling issues.

Thanks for the info, however my phone does not have that setting. Only option for Wi-Fi calling is either on or off.
Also I always switch my phone to airplane mode which switches off the mobile network.
